Overview
This is the core feature of Enki. Smart Common members can create an Enki account to promote their Smart Common and create a community. The Enki account currently supports:
- Publishing news
- Initiating discussions
- Organizing online and offline events
Enki supports communication with other ActivityPub protocol federated software, allowing accounts to follow Enki accounts and receive updates. Enki helps Smart Commons gather followers and promote discussions about their technology.
Creating and Transferring Enki Accounts
Members create an Enki account by binding a community management website (node) domain to the Smart Common, making it the active node. This information is stored on-chain, allowing the Enki account to log in from any node.
For example, if you create your Enki account on daism.io, your account name will be:
Your Smart Common
This name remains unchanged even if you migrate to another node.
Two Ways to Create an Enki Account
- Self-built Node: Download the source code from GitHub, build the node, and publish the site.
- Hosted Node: Check which nodes can host your account and then host it on a chosen node.
Steps to Create an Enki Account
- Log into the node where you want to create the Enki account.
- From the menu, find "My Community" to locate the Smart Common you want to create an Enki account for.
- Bind the domain name.
The last bound domain name is considered the active one.
